Why Waste Wednesdays Foundation, in association with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Navjiwan RWA, NSS-CVS, and Bharat Soka Gakkai, has launched Project Saakshar. This initiative involves the collection and recycling of plastic, paper, and e-waste. In exchange, the received notebooks are donated to MCD schools. These notebooks carry IEC material on waste segregation and advocate saying no to single-use plastics. So far, 1,500 notebooks have been distributed to MCD schools.
